यह पद सामान्य fresh graduates के लिए नहीं है। उम्मीदवार के पास recognized university से Graduation के साथ Computer/IT/Computer Science से संबंधित कम से कम 3 महीने का certification course या graduation में संबंधित subject होना चाहिए।
साथ ही उम्मीदवार को:
- Army/Navy/Air Force में JCO के रूप में कम से कम 5 वर्ष की service, या
- Paramilitary Forces में Inspector equivalent rank तथा कम से कम 5 वर्ष की service, या

Indian Overseas Bank ने अलग-अलग Officer Scales के लिए pay scale निर्धारित किया है। Notification में दिए गए basic pay scales इस प्रकार हैं:
